Following the Government Guidelines :
Play equipment in parks and other venues must close as they involve prolonged close social contact, which increases the chances of infection spreading.
The Parish Council will leave Glusburn Park open for now for walking and exercise but ask that as the above guideline DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PLAY EQUIPMENT OR THE GYM EQUIPMENT
Thankyou for your help in these unprecedented times.

I have just spoken to a very helpful member of staff at the garage. They said that they think the problem was restricted to the HGV pump on Friday. As far as they know, to date only 3 wagons were affected. If you are concerned then give them a call and they are happy to advise.

Where has this info come from please? I filled up there last night

One somewhere along Binns Lane, Glusburn would be good.

As Sarah said, one at the end of Binns Lane, or the end of Ryecroft Road would be great. Also one at the junction of Wheatlands Lane/ Park Road/ Baxter Wood. There are suitable sign posts and lamp posts all around there, and a lot of fouling going on on all 3 of those streets.

been like it for months if there ansher the phone

TWO Aire Valley nursing homes are throwing their doors open for Christmas and inviting older people, who will be spending the big day alone, to enjoy a free festive lunch as well as a fantastic day of celebrations.

Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton, and Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills, will both be serving a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings from 12noon on Christmas Day. The homes are owned and operated by Saltaire-based Czajka Care Group, and anyone wanting to book a place should call the company’s office on 01274 599564.

Konrad Czajka, managing director at Czajka Care Group, said: “Christmas is always a special time across all our homes, with lots of events and parties taking place. However, we know this time of year can also be a struggle for those people who live alone, have recently lost a partner, or whose families live a long way away and can’t be with them.

“Being alone at Christmas time is particularly tough, so we wanted to invite any older people in the local area to come and spend Christmas with us as part of our community, as it’s always a superb day. We made a similar pledge last year which was well received, and we really hope that we can make a difference to people who feel lonely and isolated this Christmas.

“Anyone wanting to book a place should contact us now. They will enjoy a fantastic lunch, great company, music, Christmas games - and there might even be a visit from Santa!”

By my rough calculation we have suffered up to fifty sets of temporary traffic lights since January in Cross Hills. Good job it's a quiet backwater for traffic!😉

Its safety down station rd needs sorting out hgv using it as a short cut when its 7.5 ton nearly smashed into my car last week it needs sorting OUT

and nothing in the local paper to say road works again ? i have told drystone radio who normaly but it out

Maybe they could put up some instructions too for those who don't seem to know how to use it!

When?
