As Sarah said, one at the end of Binns Lane, or the end of Ryecroft Road would be great. Also one at the junction of Wheatlands Lane/ Park Road/ Baxter Wood. There are suitable sign posts and lamp posts all around there, and a lot of fouling going on on all 3 of those streets.
One somewhere along Binns Lane, Glusburn would be good.

TWO Aire Valley nursing homes are throwing their doors open for Christmas and inviting older people, who will be spending the big day alone, to enjoy a free festive lunch as well as a fantastic day of celebrations.
Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton, and Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills, will both be serving a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings from 12noon on Christmas Day. The homes are owned and operated by Saltaire-based Czajka Care Group, and anyone wanting to book a place should call the company’s office on 01274 599564.
Konrad Czajka, managing director at Czajka Care Group, said: “Christmas is always a special time across all our homes, with lots of events and parties taking place. However, we know this time of year can also be a struggle for those people who live alone, have recently lost a partner, or whose families live a long way away and can’t be with them.
“Being alone at Christmas time is particularly tough, so we wanted to invite any older people in the local area to come and spend Christmas with us as part of our community, as it’s always a superb day. We made a similar pledge last year which was well received, and we really hope that we can make a difference to people who feel lonely and isolated this Christmas.
“Anyone wanting to book a place should contact us now. They will enjoy a fantastic lunch, great company, music, Christmas games - and there might even be a visit from Santa!” ... See MoreSee Less

By my rough calculation we have suffered up to fifty sets of temporary traffic lights since January in Cross Hills. Good job it's a quiet backwater for traffic!😉
Its safety down station rd needs sorting out hgv using it as a short cut when its 7.5 ton nearly smashed into my car last week it needs sorting OUT
and nothing in the local paper to say road works again ? i have told drystone radio who normaly but it out
Maybe they could put up some instructions too for those who don't seem to know how to use it!

Just a warning, the level crossing at Crosshills near the Co-op petrol station has a large pot hole, It has popped my tyre and at least two others today. The police have been informed and they are passing the details on to the appropriate department. I was traveling from Steeton towards Skipton. Please be careful.
The Parish Council contacted Network Rail instantly - reply below: ... See MoreSee Less
The work was completed as planned and boxes repainted. Hopefully it will last. If there are problems the parish council will raise these with the appropriate agency.
Yes, damaged my alloy on Monday pm. Nearly spoilt the day as I was going in to Skipton for a special lunch and ended up with a deflating tyre, with a 3 year old in the car. I’ve requested a claim form from Network Rail, not sure yet how much the alloy will cost me let alone the tyre.
North Yorkshire Highways Agency don’t say that. I spoke to them yesterday and they didn’t know when it was going to be repaired. Maybe it’s a different department.
And there’s another one at the other side just the same size too
Don't forget the crossing is closed for 24hrs from Saturday night in cross hills. ... See MoreSee Less

The road either side is expected to be dealt with by Railtrack this month as part of the work being done each weekend.
But it would make so much sense to do the pot holes at the same time , 🙄🙄
Still the craters not filled in, lets hope thats next.
Iam so impressed no one can now hear the cars going over said all the people driving over the mess n pot holes all over the road at either side of this and damaging all the cars 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Who is responsible for fixing the road? Railtrack or Highways?
Was disappointed today that the potholes hadn’t been done at the same time - when are they going to be done ??
looking good but the road needs sorting
Road works at the level crossing in cross hills, at last!!!
3 weekends of closures, not just overnight by the look of it.
Could be a bit noisy this time and they will do their best to keep it to a minimum ... See MoreSee Less
